What is an Inmate Background Check?
There are a lot of people out there today that would like to know how to do an inmate background check. For whatever reason, people seem to be interested in knowing the background of somebody that is in jail or prison. As if them being incarcerated doesn’t speak enough volumes for them. Maybe they want to know the real reason for the incarceration. Maybe they want to know how much damage the inmate has done to their own reputation. Maybe they are just curious. Whatever the case may be, it is very possible to discover the background of an inmate, or anybody else.
What is an Inmate?
In case you are unaware of what an inmate is, here is a simple explanation. Inmates are what the authorities call people that are under the care of a correctional facility. Depending on where the incarcerated inmate is, there may be other labels for them such as convicts, or jailbirds. In any case, in an attempt to be politically correct the general public has deemed people who are serving time “inmates.”
How To Do a Background Check on an Inmate
Doing a background check on an inmate is just as easy as doing one on somebody that isn’t incarcerated. All you have to do is have the name of the person, hopefully, the birth date and the last known address. Inmates are people too, so all of their information is the same as anybody else’s. You may be able to find a little more information on an inmate if you find the facility that they are housed in and see if the website that has the information will have arrest information as well. Some places offer this kind of data, some don’t. It all depends on where they are.
Try Google First
You never know what kind of information you can find if you just give a search engine a shot. Put the name of the person and the last known city that they lived in and you might find a news article on them. You could find a lot of other information as well. If they had a high profile case, it will most likely be covered in the local news of that area and you will be able to see more details than a regular court case might give you. However, not everything that you see on the internet is true. Check your sources before you jump to conclusions.
